Dentures have traditionally been one of the most common and popular ways to replace missing teeth.
Traditional dentures are formed of a base which is usually made of acrylic or cobalt chrome and sits over the gums, and a set of prosthetic teeth which sit on top of this base. They are available as either ‘full’ or ‘partial’ sets.
Partial dentures can be used when only a few teeth are missing or in need of replacement, while full dentures are able to replace a full arch of teeth.

Dentures are a great option for patients needing to replace teeth, as they are easy to manufacture and place, and are cost-effective too. In most cases, dentures take a month or two to be made and fitted, and you will need to come in for several fitting appointments. To begin with, we will take impressions and measurements in order for your dentures to be made. A wax mock-up of your dentures will be made, which will help us check that the fit, bite, and comfort are all satisfactory.
Once your personalised dentures have been made, we’ll fit them for you here at Bank Chambers Dental Practice. We might need to make some minor adjustments, but otherwise, you’ll be able to go home and show off your brand-new smile.
